Short-form / candidates / pressure readings
Notes.
Working observations are allowed to remain unresolved. The point is to preserve live candidates without laundering them into claims.
Capability is not authority.
A system can become substantially better at planning, coding, coordination, or communication without gaining any corresponding right to decide what may be executed.
Receipts may be part of the product, not merely audit exhaust.
For consequential agentic work, a reviewer-safe account of what was allowed, refused, changed, tested, and left unknown can be economically and operationally valuable in its own right.
The closest known category can be the wrong category.
Novel systems are often flattened into their nearest training-data neighbor. Comparison is useful for orientation; it becomes destructive when it replaces description of the actual object.
Discovery and admission should be different machines.
Exploration benefits from range, mutation, and strange candidates. Execution benefits from authority checks, falsifiers, provenance, budgets, and fail-closed boundaries. Collapsing the two optimizes neither.
Five states stay distinct.
Code exists and passed the stated local validation.
Local evidence exists; external proof does not.
The design exists. Implementation does not.
A potentially useful fact has not yet been admitted.
Worth preserving, not yet worth believing.
